Job Description
Sundry Markets Limited is seeking motivated and detail-oriented graduates to join its 2026 Accounting Trainee Programme. This opportunity is designed for young accounting and finance professionals looking to build a successful career in the retail and finance sectors.
Successful candidates will receive hands-on training and practical experience while supporting key accounting and financial operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Verify invoices, process payments, and reconcile accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis activities.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information.
- Provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Applicants must not be more than 30 years old.
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possess a valid exemption certificate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
