Job Description
The U.S. Embassy in Abuja invites applications from qualified candidates for the role of Surveillance Detection Coordinator (SDC) in the Regional Security Office (RSO).
The SDC will:
- Report directly to the RSO.
- Oversee the Surveillance Detection (SD) Program and provide timely analysis of incidents.
- Review, translate, and input reports into the myDSIR database.
- Supervise one SD Technician, three SD Supervisors, and indirectly manage nine SD Monitors.
- Ensure surveillance oversight across the Embassy, Consulates, U.S. Government (USG) facilities, and event venues as directed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of secondary education or equivalent (OND, BA, BSc, or HND may apply).
- Minimum of 2 years in military, police, or private security roles.
- At least 6 months of investigative experience.
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
- General understanding of surveillance techniques.
- Familiarity with traffic patterns, pedestrian behaviors, travel routes, and local law enforcement.
- Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
