Job Description
The company is seeking a detail-oriented Tracking / Logistics Trainee to support fleet monitoring and operational coordination. The role involves real-time tracking of vehicles, ensuring compliance with company logistics standards, and analyzing transport data to improve efficiency and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and track truck movements from origin to destination using GPS systems
- Ensure continuous visibility of all fleet vehicles at all times
- Prepare daily loading and dispatch projections for clients
- Analyze driver behavior including speed, braking patterns, fuel usage, and route compliance
- Identify and report route deviations, delays, and unauthorized activities
- Monitor geofence violations, over-speeding, night driving, and other infractions
- Support quick response to emergency or operational incidents
- Maintain accurate records of alerts, incidents, and follow-up actions
- Compare planned routes with actual routes taken and investigate discrepancies
- Track delivery timelines, locations, and performance indicators
- Generate weekly and monthly reports on fleet efficiency and utilization
- Collaborate with drivers, operations teams, and management to resolve tracking issues
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline
- 1–3 years of work experience (logistics, transport, or fleet management preferred)
- Basic understanding of GPS tracking or telematics systems is an advantage
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and coordination abilities
