Job Description
IITA is seeking a skilled and dynamic Communication Officer to support its communication efforts at the Hub. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving stakeholder engagement and enhancing the organization’s public profile through strategic communication initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields.
Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in a structured work environment.
Key Competencies:
Excellent writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
Strong multitasking abilities and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and support the Hub’s communication strategy.
Create and disseminate content for digital and print platforms, including newsletters, press releases, social media posts, and reports.
Coordinate events, stakeholder meetings, and media interactions.
Maintain up-to-date communication resources and branding consistency.
Foster relationships with media outlets, donors, and technical partners.
Monitor communication efforts and provide analytical insights for improvement.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the su
pervisor.
