Job Description
South Town Place is seeking a highly organised and proactive Inventory Officer to manage and control all stock items used within its hospitality operations. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted service delivery through accurate inventory tracking, proper storage, timely replenishment, and cost control.
The Inventory Officer will oversee food and beverages, housekeeping supplies, maintenance materials, and operational equipment, while minimising waste and ensuring accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular physical stock counts (daily, weekly, and monthly) and reconcile variances
- Implement and enforce stock rotation methods such as FIFO (First-In, First-Out)
- Monitor daily stock levels to ensure availability of all critical items
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management software
- Investigate and report discrepancies, losses, damages, or expired items
- Receive and verify supplier deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Inspect received items for damage, spoilage, or non-compliance with specifications
- Properly document all received and issued items using authorised requisitions
Qualifications & Requirements
- BSc / HND / OND in any relevant discipline
- Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a similar inventory or stock control role
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry is highly required
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
