ArtisanConnect is seeking a creative, data-driven Social Media Manager to lead and grow our online presence across key social platforms. This role is ideal for someone passionate about community building, storytelling, and digital growth, with a strong understanding of Nigerian culture and local artisan ecosystems.
Job Description
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing, growing, and engaging ArtisanConnect’s online communities while driving brand awareness and user adoption.
Key responsibilities
- Managing social media platforms including X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp
- Creating engaging content that resonates with local audiences without spamming
- Planning, scheduling, and publishing content using tools like Buffer
- Designing social media graphics using Canva
- Running and optimizing paid campaigns using Meta Ads Manager
- Monitoring performance metrics and iterating strategies using data insights
- Conducting A/B testing on content themes (e.g., cultural vs. problem-solving posts)
- Actively engaging with communities and responding to comments/messages professionally
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years experience in social media management (preferably with startups or local Nigerian brands)
- Strong working knowledge of X, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager
- Proficiency in Canva for content creation
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Good understanding of Nigerian culture (experience with artisan trades is a plus)
- Creative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track performance and optimize content
- Reliable internet access
- Must be Nigeria-based for time zone alignment
