Job Description

UNIDO is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Senior Office Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to its country office in Abuja.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prioritize incoming correspondence and prepare responses
  • Draft, proofread, and finalize official documents and reports
  • Respond to inquiries and provide administrative support to staff
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and background research
  • Support project implementation, workshops, and meetings
  • Monitor expenses, process payments, and manage procurement activities
  • Use SAP systems for administrative and financial processes
  • Maintain office inventory, filing systems, and databases
  • Coordinate with UN agencies and stakeholders
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum of a secondary school certificate
  • Additional administrative or secretarial training is an advantage

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of relevant administrative experience
  • OR 5 years with a university degree
  • Experience in international or multicultural environments preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and policies
  • Experience with SAP or ERP systems (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
