Job Description
The Asset & Inventory Trainee role is designed for early-career professionals who want to build a strong foundation in asset management, inventory control, and operational support within the oil and gas industry. The role offers structured training, exposure to field operations, and corporate support functions.
Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience in tracking, managing, and optimizing company assets and inventory systems while supporting day-to-day operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management and tracking of company assets and inventory records
- Assist in monitoring stock levels, usage, and replenishment needs
- Participate in physical asset verification and reconciliation exercises
- Maintain accurate documentation of inventory movements across locations
- Support data entry and reporting on asset utilization and performance
- Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and compliance standards
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth asset flow
- Support audits and inventory checks when required
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within asset management systems
Qualifications & Requirements
- HND or B.Sc in a relevant discipline (Minimum: Upper Credit or Second Class Upper)
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience (entry-level candidates with strong exposure may also be considered)
- NYSC completion is mandatory for fresh graduates
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with data
- Basic knowledge of inventory or asset management systems is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a structured, fast-paced environment
