Job Description
The Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining strong financial controls. The role involves budgeting, reporting, compliance, payroll processing, and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and monitoring financial performance
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting and bookkeeping records
- Recording, reconciling, and tracking all financial transactions
- Managing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Supporting cash flow planning and monitoring inflows and outflows
- Processing payroll and ensuring timely statutory deductions and remittances
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and financial policies
- Supporting internal and external audit processes
- Maintaining relationships with banks, vendors, and regulatory bodies
- Performing financial analysis to support cost control and profitability improvement
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- NYSC Corps members or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
