Job Description
Google Nigeria is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Incident Response Consultant (Mandiant). This role is focused on cybersecurity incident response, threat detection, forensic investigation, and risk mitigation for clients facing complex security incidents.
The role involves working within Google Cloud’s Mandiant division, which is recognized globally for advanced cybersecurity intelligence and incident response capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support incident response investigations and technical workstreams
- Perform host, network, and log-based forensic analysis
- Conduct malware triage, threat hunting, and cloud/disk/memory forensics
- Develop detailed incident reports using data from multiple technical sources
- Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and security tools
- Support containment, remediation, and post-incident recovery processes
- Collaborate with clients during high-severity cyber incidents
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in incident response or cybersecurity investigations
- Strong experience in network forensics, malware analysis, or cloud security investigations
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Experience in forensic tools and cybersecurity frameworks
- Ability to travel up to 30% (where required)
- Strong communication skills for technical and executive reporting
- Certifications in cloud or cybersecurity fields are an added advantage
- Experience with CTFs or platforms like Hack The Box or TryHackMe is a plus
