Job Description

Watolex Crown Integrated Services is recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer to support the planning, design, supervision, and execution of construction projects in Lagos.

The role provides an opportunity for an early-career civil engineer to gain practical experience in construction and project delivery while working alongside experienced professionals. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring that construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the supervision of daily construction activities and ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Support the execution and monitoring of civil and structural works.
  • Assist in coordinating contractors, subcontractors, site personnel, and consultants.
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings for accurate implementation on site.
  • Monitor construction methods and ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards.
  • Support the implementation of quality control, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Monitor construction material usage and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Identify and report site challenges and assist in developing practical solutions to prevent project delays.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily activity reports, material records, and attendance logs.
  • Assist with project scheduling, planning, progress tracking, and risk assessment.
  • Participate in site meetings and prepare technical reports and project progress updates for management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Interested candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience, including experience gained through internships, NYSC, or graduate trainee programmes in construction or real estate.
  • Basic knowledge of architectural and structural drawings.
  • Understanding of construction methods and fundamental engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project or other engineering software is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
