Job Description
The Audit Trainee will work alongside experienced audit professionals to support audit engagements, evaluate financial information, and assist in preparing audit reports. The successful candidate will receive practical exposure to auditing standards, accounting practices, and client financial reporting processes while developing the technical skills required for a successful accounting career.
Key Responsibilities
As an Audit Trainee, you will:
- Assist in carrying out audit assignments and evaluating financial records.
- Support the audit team in preparing audit reports and client presentations.
- Learn and apply professional auditing standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Participate in reviewing clients’ financial reporting systems and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure audit assignments are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Perform other audit-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered, applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Little or no prior audit experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong passion for accounting and auditing.
- Registration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
