Job Description
Prestigious Consulting Group is recruiting a Cosmetics Intern (Quality Assurance & Quality Control) for its Cosmetics Division. This remote internship is designed for science graduates who are passionate about cosmetics manufacturing, product quality, laboratory processes, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will support quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the product development and manufacturing process while gaining practical exposure to industry best practices, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with quality assurance and quality control activities during cosmetics production.
- Review raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support laboratory testing, including pH, viscosity, texture, appearance, and other product quality evaluations.
- Participate in product sampling, batch record verification, and quality documentation.
- Assist with stability testing and product quality monitoring throughout the product lifecycle.
- Inspect packaging materials and labels to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support supplier and contract manufacturer quality audits.
- Maintain QA/QC records, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and testing reports.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and NAFDAC regulations.
- Collaborate with Research & Development (R&D), Production, and Regulatory Affairs teams during product development and launch.
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement and support corrective action initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants should possess the following:
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:
- Microbiology
- Biochemistry
- Industrial Chemistry
- Chemistry
- Pharmacy
- Food Science
- Cosmetic Science
- Or another related scientific field
- Previous SIWES, internship, laboratory, manufacturing, or QA/QC experience is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Assurance principles, or NAFDAC regulations is desirable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
