MSI Reproductive Choices is currently recruiting qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Data Assistant across multiple states in Nigeria.

Job Description

The Data Assistant will work closely with the Regional Research Monitoring and Evaluation Officers (RMEOs) to support monitoring and evaluation activities across state and regional levels.

Successful candidates will assist with data quality audits, data validation, reporting, stock reconciliation, and management of data collection tools to ensure efficient implementation of M&E objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support data quality audits at state and facility levels
  • Review source documents and validate collected data
  • Assist with archival and filing of source documents
  • Track issuance and usage of data collection tools
  • Support commodity consumption reconciliation across service channels
  • Assist with training and capacity building for service providers
  • Conduct in-reach monitoring at service delivery points
  • Support monthly data reviews and reporting activities
  • Disseminate audit findings and support performance reviews
  • Assist with stock count activities at regional and state offices
  • Ensure timely dispatch and tracking of data management tools

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Statistics, Computer Science, or any related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with health information systems in government or non-governmental organizations
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ODK/Kobo Collect and DHIS2 will be an added advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good understanding of the local terrain and local language within assigned communities
  • Willingness to travel within assigned locations when required
