Job Description
DO.II Designs Limited is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR & Admin Intern to join its team in Ikeja, Lagos. The successful candidate will support the Human Resources and Administrative functions of the organization by assisting with workforce management, documentation, attendance tracking, procurement activities, and operational reporting.
This role offers valuable hands-on experience in human resource management, administration, and office operations within the furniture manufacturing and interior design industry.
Key Responsibilities
General HR Support & Compliance
- Provide administrative support to the HR and Administration department.
- Assist with basic employee relations and compliance activities.
- Support daily HR operations and workforce management initiatives.
Filing & Documentation Management
- Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems.
- Ensure proper storage and retrieval of HR and administrative records.
- Support document management and compliance processes.
Workforce Scheduling & Payroll Support
- Coordinate staff scheduling and work rosters.
- Compile monthly overtime schedules and reports.
- Liaise with the Accounts department regarding employee payment follow-ups.
Attendance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track daily staff attendance using biometric systems or attendance logs.
- Prepare and submit monthly attendance reports to management.
Facility & Power Cost Management
- Monitor daily administrative operations and facility management activities.
- Support cost-control initiatives relating to office resources and utilities.
Resource Control & Diesel Management
- Monitor diesel availability and usage.
- Maintain daily fuel consumption records.
- Prepare monthly fuel usage analytics and reports.
Vendor Management & Procurement
- Engage with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Support procurement activities and vendor negotiations.
- Assist in securing favorable pricing and service terms for the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Qualification
- B.Sc. or HND in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CIPM or NIM will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in Human Resources, Administration, or operational support roles.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of office administration systems and procedures.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain records efficiently.
- Familiarity with employee attendance and workforce tracking systems.
