Job Description
The British Council is offering internship opportunities within its Exams Unit in Lagos, designed to provide recent graduates with hands-on professional experience.
Successful candidates will gain practical exposure in a dynamic work environment, contributing to real projects while developing valuable career skills. The program runs for 12 months, with potential extension based on performance and organisational needs.

- Intern – Exams Marketing Support
- Intern – Executive Support Assistant (Exams)
Key Responsibilities
For Exams Marketing Support Intern:
- Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns
- Manage and create content for social media platforms
- Support email campaigns and promotional materials
- Conduct market research and analyse marketing trends
- Assist with events, outreach activities, and internal communications
- Update website content and track campaign performance
For Executive Support Assistant Intern:
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Examinations
- Coordinate internal and external communications with stakeholders
- Schedule meetings, workshops, and manage logistics
- Support planning and monitoring of business activities
Qualifications & Requirements
Core Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/HND) in any relevant field
- Must have completed NYSC or possess an exemption certificatMaximum of 3 years post-NYSC experience
- Must have the legal right to work in Nigeria
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to use digital tools and platforms effectively
Role-Specific (Marketing Intern):
- Knowledge of marketing, communications, or related fields
- Familiarity with Canva and content creation tools
- Interest in digital marketing and campaigns
