Job Description
The Junior HR Officer will support the Human Resources department in handling recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training coordination, and statutory compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and reconcile monthly pension schedules for employees and coordinate remittance to Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs)
- Support recruitment processes including job posting, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
- Assist with disciplinary procedures and HR policy implementation
- Monitor performance appraisal activities and maintain accurate documentation
- Identify training needs and coordinate staff learning programs
- Draft HR correspondence, memos, letters, and internal communications
- Prepare gratuity declaration certificates for eligible employees
- Update and maintain employee gratuity records
- Coordinate long service award tracking and recognition activities
Qualifications & Requirements
Candidates applying for the role should possess:
- B.Sc or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–3 years of relevant HR experience
- Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems
