About
The Nigerian Army is one of Africa’s largest military institutions, with a rich history dating back to 1863 when Lt. Glover of the Royal Navy formed the “Glover Hausas” — a local defense unit that later evolved into today’s Nigerian Army. The Army plays a vital role in safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty, promoting national security, and supporting peacekeeping operations both locally and internationally.
Joining the Nigerian Army provides an opportunity to build a career in national service, gain professional training, and contribute to the defense and unity of Nigeria.
