Job Description
NCDF Group Plc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented People & Finance Intern to support its Shared Services team in Ibadan, Oyo State. This internship offers practical exposure to both Human Resources and Finance/Accounting functions, making it ideal for graduates and early-career professionals interested in building a career in corporate operations.
The successful candidate will assist with HR administration, recruitment support, payroll documentation, financial record management, reporting, and other administrative activities while working closely with experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources & People Operations
- Support recruitment activities, including interview scheduling and candidate record management.
- Assist with employee onboarding documentation and personnel file administration.
- Maintain records for staff attendance, leave, internships, and performance tracking.
- Prepare HR documents such as appointment letters, internship letters, and other templates.
- Assist with internal staff communications, meeting documentation, and HR coordination.
- Handle employee and applicant information with strict confidentiality.
Finance & Accounting Administration
- Support bookkeeping activities and maintain organized financial records.
- Assist in processing invoices, receipts, payment requests, and expense documentation.
- Maintain petty cash records, payment schedules, and financial filing systems.
- Organize bank statements and supporting transaction documents.
- Update financial spreadsheets, assist with reconciliations, and prepare management reports.
- Support audit preparation, compliance documentation, and financial reporting activities.
Shared Services & Administrative Support
- Maintain well-organized digital and physical records.
- Assist with document tracking, internal reporting, and administrative follow-up.
- Coordinate with various departments and portfolio companies.
- Perform data entry, scheduling, documentation, and operational support tasks.
- Carry out other duties assigned within the People & Finance function.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Business Administration
- Economics
- Management
- Or a related discipline
- Strong interest in both Human Resources and Finance/Accounting operations.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google Workspace.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Familiarity with payroll administration, HR records management, or recruitment processes.
- Strong spreadsheet and data management skills.
- Ability to prepare simple reports and monitor assigned tasks.
- Interest in working within an impact investment and enterprise development environment.
