Job Description
Hec Recruit is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Intern to join a pharmacy team in Victoria Island, Lagos. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient support while working alongside licensed pharmacists.
This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in pharmaceutical care, regulatory compliance, and customer service within a professional healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and dispensing medications under the supervision of licensed pharmacists
- Attend to customers and provide information on over-the-counter (OTC) medications and healthcare products
- Restock shelves, monitor product expiry dates, receive deliveries, and assist with inventory counts
- Maintain prescription records, sales documentation, and other regulatory records
- Support medication packaging and simple pharmaceutical preparations as directed
- Comply with NAFDAC, Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN), and internal pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Participate in training sessions, drug information updates, and patient counseling observations
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Final-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) student, recent graduate, or NYSC pharmacist awaiting deployment
- Basic knowledge of pharmacology, drug classifications, and dosage forms
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with POS or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Professional attitude, empathy, integrity, and willingness to learn
- Must reside in or around Victoria Island, Ikoyi, or Lekki for easy commuting
