About

The Federal Ministry of Works (FMW) is responsible for developing and maintaining Nigeria’s road infrastructure to promote national integration, economic growth, and sustainable development. Through the President Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme, the Ministry aims to strengthen Nigeria’s technical workforce by providing practical training, mentorship, and employment opportunities for skilled artisans involved in infrastructure projects nationwide.

Job Description

The Federal Ministry of Works is inviting applications from unemployed skilled artisans across Nigeria to participate in the President Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme, a nationwide capacity-building initiative under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The programme provides participants with practical construction experience, professional mentorship, safety training, and exposure to real-life infrastructure projects while receiving monthly stipends.

Please Note: The Ministry has confirmed that applications for graduate engineers have already closed due to sufficient submissions. Only applications from qualified artisans will be considered under this final recruitment exercise.

Programme Objectives

  • Provide practical training in modern construction techniques.
  • Develop a skilled local workforce for national infrastructure projects.
  • Reduce youth unemployment through structured work experience.
  • Improve project delivery by integrating trained artisans into construction activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens.
  • Be between 18 and 45 years of age.
  • Possess recognized vocational training, Trade Test certificates, or verifiable practical work experience.
  • Be unemployed at the time of application.
  • Be physically fit for construction-related field activities.
  • Be willing to undergo additional technical training, safety certification, and supervised field attachment.

Programme Benefits

Successful participants will receive:

  • Monthly stipend during the programme.
  • Practical field training on Federal Government construction projects.
  • Mentorship from registered engineers and certified supervisors.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Certificate of completion upon successful participation.
