1. Biomass Sourcing Coordinator
The Biomass Sourcing Coordinator will serve as the main link between Lafarge and customers/vendors, ensuring effective biomass waste management, sourcing, and timely delivery. This role focuses on meeting biomass sourcing targets while driving customer satisfaction through market intelligence, negotiation, and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as primary liaison for customers and vendors regarding biomass sourcing and delivery.
- Ensure adherence to Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards.
- Conduct customer/vendor visits, register opportunities, and develop action plans.
- Manage pricing, offers, and AFR contract preparations.
- Resolve customer/vendor complaints and update planning tools with volume forecasts.
- Identify new market opportunities for biomass waste and support validation processes.
- Prepare weekly sales reports and assist with commercial proposals.
- Collaborate with logistics to guarantee smooth deliveries.
- Contribute to annual budget proposals for Geocycle operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Agriculture, Business Management, or Social Sciences.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in sales development.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce), SAP, and Master Data management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to travel across Nigeria for biomass sourcing.
2. Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding Lafarge’s Geocycle operations by identifying new waste management opportunities and strengthening sustainable business partnerships. The role supports Lafarge’s circular economy and decarbonization agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new market opportunities across FMCG, agriculture, manufacturing, and municipal sectors.
- Develop proposals, business cases, and strategies for waste recovery and co-processing.
- Expand Geocycle’s customer and supplier portfolio to drive revenue growth.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business strategy.
- Build strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Manage negotiations, contracts, and partnerships promoting sustainable waste management.
- Ensure compliance with Lafarge’s HSE and ethical standards.
- Track KPIs (sourcing volumes, cost efficiency, customer retention).
- Provide regular performance reports and market insights.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum); Master’s is an added advantage.
- 5–7 years’ experience in business development, waste management, sustainability, or industrial sales.
- Strong commercial awareness and project execution skills.
- Industry experience in cement, energy, recycling, or manufacturing preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
