Job Description
The Database Administrator will support database operations by ensuring data availability, reliability, and security while assisting with database maintenance and recovery processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and maintenance of relational databases
- Assist with database backup and restore procedures
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot basic issues
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability
- Provide support to internal users and teams as required
- Assist senior database administrators in routine operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related numerate science, or an Engineering discipline
- Database-related certifications are an added advantage
- 0–3 years of experience working with relational databases
Key Skills & Competencies
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of relational database systems
- Sound understanding of backup and restore procedures
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a team-oriented environment
