Job Description
The Cash Officer will oversee financial and operational activities at assigned fuel station locations. This role involves managing cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting sales growth, and ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and monitor LPG product sales and discharge transactions
- Reconcile daily cash inflows and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Maintain detailed cash books and financial records in line with company policies
- Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) for transaction tracking and reconciliation
- Drive sales growth by attracting new customers and retaining existing ones
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries efficiently
- Supervise gas station staff, including operators and security personnel
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain proper housekeeping standards
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and government agencies when required
- Prepare periodic reports on financial performance and operational activities
- Support audits and inspections with accurate documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc/HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience:
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance or a similar role
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong cash handling and reconciliation skills
- High level of accuracy and integrity
- Good analytical and financial reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Good communication and customer service skills
